Hiking
Every four years, the Adams River turns red. This is when a so-called "dominant salmon run" takes place in the river, a salmon migration in which millions of sockeye salmon swim upstream. There they lay up to 4,000 eggs, which are fertilized by the male salmon.
The next big salmon migration will take place in 2026, when the Salute to the Sockeye Festival will be held again.
