The Inningen reservoir is an artificial lake on the Wertach in the south of Augsburg, between the districts of Inningen and Göggingen. It was created by damming the Wertach for a hydroelectric power plant and is used both for energy production and as a local recreation area.
The area around the Inningen reservoir offers numerous leisure activities:
• Hiking and cycling: There are well-developed paths along the lake that are ideal for walks and bike rides. A popular route leads from Inningen across the reservoir to Bobingen and back.
