This field chapel is sometimes still a noble unknown, even to people who live in the area. It was built in 1903.
Until the 1960s, a procession walked here in May to pray the rosary. That procession also passed other chapels in Wommelgem, but they have almost all disappeared.
Hopefully this chapel can remain and this beautiful piece of heritage will not have to perish for the industry.
