Beware, from 8:00 a.m. onwards, there are masses of tourists brought by cruise ships to the Fjellstue, and from there, they are driven up in about 20 trollmobiles every half hour to reach 50 meters from the glacier, whereas ordinary mortals hike the 3-4 km. I recommend going there at night or early in the morning.
