Trail junction below Helfenburk

Helfenburk Castle can be found approximately halfway between Litoměřice and Česká Lípa. In the direction from Litoměřice in Úštěk, we turn Transport to the village of Ostré. After about 2 km from the main intersection, we come across a parking lot. It is about 200m before the village. From there we have to walk first following the red sign, after which we can continue to the green and then the yellow to the castle for about 3 km, or after about 600 meters from the parking lot turn from the red directly to the yellow. The second option is about a kilometer shorter. We can go back the same way, or continue from the castle on the yellow one, and after about 400 meters turn onto the red one, which after about 4 km will take us along a forest path to the village of Ostré and then 200 m along the road to the parking lot.

From this signpost, you can take 3 different routes to Helfenburk Castle, in the direction of Tetčiněves until you reach Úštěk, or you can go to the Ostré parking lot
