The oldest part of the Catholic parish church of St. James is a Gothic structure dating from the 15th century (at the current high altar). The high altar was consecrated in 1696 by the Bishop of Regensburg, Count von Wartenberg. Relics of St. James are kept in the altar table.
Around 1735, the already dilapidated tower was renovated. In 1738, the church underwent a major reconstruction, primarily involving the extension of the nave and the addition of foliage, strapwork, and Rococo shells.
