Funny and exceptional beer garden. You have to get your drink and your seat from the garden, but then you sit on the dam with a perfect view of the Rhine.

Always good for a stop .... Unfortunately, the quiet charming character of the past has been lost with the expansion of the bike path. Nevertheless, value for cold drinks and a sausage are simply unbeatable. And the location right on the Rhine without traffic is absolutely TOP.

Wonderful "beer garden" with cheap drinks - take chair sit on the dike and enjoy the sun!

Funny gardening. Of course, not luxurious, but with a lot of charm and incredibly low prices (1 non-alcoholic wheat for € 1.70 ...); but no service, chairs, drinks and food (potato salad with meatballs or sausage) you have to get. A fantastic view from the dam, in good weather you have to stop here and make a break ...

In the south of Duisburg, directly on the Rhine, on the outskirts of Dusseldorf, lies this bizarre and idyllic place. Nowhere is there a signpost to the gardening of Karl-Heinz Schwenke. But whoever seeks it will find it too. In the vernacular, this place is also called Aschöchsken. This has nothing to do with the situation and certainly not with that part of the body. In the past, the steamboats disposed of their ashes in a hole on the banks of the Rhine, hence the name.
Nicely for a break. You simply pick up one of the many chairs and sit at the edge of the dyke bike path. For refreshment, there is grilled sausage and pork chop or a piece of cake.
