It is neither mentioned nor described in any way on site. This is mainly because the still clearly visible ramparts of the Hünenburg have hardly been researched. What is known, however, is that it is a classic refuge from the Saxon period, which was probably built in the 9th century.

The two-part rampart is located in the junction of two streams, which means that it is protected on two sides by steep slopes of 8-10 m in height. The southwest side is secured by a 2 m high and 4-6 m wide rampart, in front of which is a dry ditch up to 10 m wide and 1.5 m deep. At both ends, the rampart swings to the northeast and runs flatter along the edges of the slope to a transverse rampart-ditch fortification. This has identical dimensions. In both ramparts, incisions in the middle probably indicate the original entrances. The ramparts divide the complex into an approximately rectangular outer bailey measuring 40 × 96 m and an oval main bailey measuring 70 × 45 m. The path to the fortification was secured by additional section ramparts and terracing.

To the north of the fortification, beyond the stream valley there, is the hill of a motte. A 25 × 18 m plateau has been cut out of the slope by means of a 10 m wide and max. 2.5 m deep trench. The southeast side is protected by a steep slope towards the stream valley.
