"At the Zschopau near Waldheim there is a rock into which a cave goes from the water. A mermaid prince with his three daughters is said to have lived there. The mermaids liked to mingle with people. The girls enjoyed dancing and playing. Never but they were allowed to wait for the morning. With cunning some boys managed to hold back the mermaids. But when the first sunbeam hit their bodies, the figures melted away forever.
