The Bug Valley is one of the most valuable natural areas in our country. It is characterized by great biodiversity and a variety of habitats and landscapes. The floodplains are dominated by meadows and wetlands with oxbow lakes. Higher up, there are fields of windblown sands, often covered with forest. The river banks are most often overgrown with willow thickets and floodplains. In places, the valley is several kilometers wide, which can be seen during spring floods. Human activity has not left its mark on the riverbed itself, thanks to which we can admire sand islands, sandbanks, escarpments, oxbow lakes and meanders.
