The Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve protects a beautiful patch of subtropical rainforest that includes nearly 400 plant species, over 140 bird species, and nearly 70 species of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. And that doesn't even cover the innumerable species of invertebrates and fungi that also live in the forest. To explore this dizzying array of life you'll have the choice of three different loops that are a mix of hard packed surfaces and boardwalks.
