In the north-eastern part of the Market Square stands the monument to King Władysław Jagiełło, built by the community of Dynów in 1910 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Grunwald. There was a huge demonstration of townspeople in ceremonial, traditional folk costumes, with peacock feathers in their hats, on horses. The fire brigade orchestra and the "Sokół" society in very beautiful uniforms also took part in this solemn ceremony.

The monument survived the occupation period only because in the autumn of 1939 the plaque with the inscription "To the Great King Władysław Jagiełło the city of Dynów" was erased with mortar, and the monument was said to represent the king, Saint Władysław.
