Neuras is home to one of the few wineries in Namibia. Only a few thousand bottles are produced per year, which is no surprise given the location. The winery was founded in 1894 by German emigrants (Ernst Herman) and some of the vines are said to still exist from that time. After the winery had been abandoned for a long time, it was bought and revived by Allan and Sylvia Walkden Davies in 1998. In 2012 the winery was taken over by the N/a'an ku se Foundation.
The winery has several water sources, which form the basis for its success.
