The Filzmoosalm is located at 1,710 meters in the rear Ellmautal, surrounded by Swiss stone pines and rare plant species. On the alpine pasture you will be spoiled with delicacies from the farm itself. The forest path from the Grund car park to the Filzmoosalm is also suitable for strollers. The children can let off steam in the adjacent playground and discover the petting zoo. The Filzmoosalm is located on the Salzburger Almenweg, the long-distance hiking trail through the Salzburg Pongau. There is also space to stay overnight on the alpine pasture.

Of the four huts on the eastern end of the Ellmautals this is certainly the most beautiful. It is quite rustic - if you do not want to do without hotel standards, you are probably better off with the Loosbühelalm.
