Interesting variant that allows you to avoid a good part of the busiest km of the SS27; until the reunion with the state road the route winds along roads with little or no traffic that pass through pleasant villages in a very pleasant environment. After the reunion with the SS27 the route is the same as the classic side.

Variant compared to the main road absolutely recommended, you climb up to Etroubles with little traffic, it lengthens by a few km compared to the better-known route, but you never face overly steep gradients, and in some flat and downhill sections you can catch your breath.
