The Wendalinus Chapel in the Püttlingen district of Köllerbach-Etzenhofen was built in 1873 by the local farmers in response to a rinderpest and a cholera epidemic and dedicated to Saint Wendelin.
In 1947, the chapel became the property of the Catholic parish of Herz-Jesu Köllerbach. In 1952, during a renovation, the Wendalinus figure was installed above the portal. A comprehensive renovation took place between 1976 and 1978 in order to preserve the building structure.
In November 2024, a new infrared heater was presented in the chapel at the Wendalinus Festival, which ensures modern and efficient heating.
