Hiking

Forte Leone, built between 1906 and 1912, is located at a good 1,500 meters on the Cima di Campo. The fortress used to be one of the largest and most important armored works in Italy on the northern border with Austria-Hungary. It is just over a kilometer away from what was then the Tyrolean border. At that time Leone formed a unit with the fortresses of Cima Lan and Lisser.
