Until 2012, it was an ordinary village, like others in the east of the Republic of Croatia, but in the fall of 2012, in the orchard of a family house, fossil remains of a mammoth and a woolly rhinoceros were found.
It's a story that attracted numerous media from the entire region, but it didn't end there, in the fall of 2016, on the same date, not far from the first site, new fossil remains of a woolly mammoth were found.
