Żory, the name of the town, means something like fire, flame, burnt. In the 12th century, when the settlement was founded, land for construction was cleared by slash-and-burn. This historical fact has been preserved as a tradition to this day - every summer the "Fire Festival" is held, and the town's logo is a small flame. It was therefore clear that the architecture should look like a fire. The unusual shape of the plot suddenly became a symbol of flames.
There is a multifunctional hall with a reception/information desk on the ground floor, and an exhibition hall with a multimedia show dedicated to the phenomenon of fire in the basement.
