From atop this hill, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the surrounding countryside, including Washington Lake to the south.

There is a local story that in April 1897, a bright light was seen hovering over the village of Dassel. This bright light then moved west and descended onto the top of King's Hill, where it stayed for about 20 minutes. Later, when the top of the hill was examined, it appeared that a heavy vessel had sat upon it.
