The wooden church in the village of Khudovtsy was built in 1894 in the "Russian-Byzantine" style in honor of the miraculous salvation of Alexander III and his family. The colorful multitude of domes gives the church its architectural effect. The church was empty only in the 1930s, and from 1942 to this day it has never been closed.
