"Commissioned by Canon Giuseppe Lugaresi (1854-1927) as a church for the adjacent educational and work institute Istituto d’istruzione e lavoro degli Artigianelli. The building, designed by Giuseppe Gualandi, was completed in 1914. The church, in neo-Gothic style and with a single nave, contains decorative and sacred elements made by the students of the institute. In the apse there is a 17th-century Madonna and Child, attributed to Sassoferrato."

The church was built in the early 20th century, specifically in 1914, and is an example of neo-Gothic architecture.
It was designed by Giuseppe Gualandi, a well-known architect of the time. The decorative elements and the sacred furniture inside the church were made by the students of the Istituto d’istruzione e lavoro degli Artigianelli, a teaching and working institute for craftsmen.
An important work of art in the church is the Madonna and Child, a 17th-century painting attributed to the Italian painter Sassoferrato.
The church originally served as a place of worship for the teaching and working institute and has played an important role in the religious and educational history of Cesena.
Over the years, several restorations have been carried out to keep the church in good condition and to preserve its historical and artistic value.
