Anyone who is not afraid of the long journey from the Klondike Highway up the Silver Trail to Keno City will find a very special place here.

The history as a silver mining town cannot be overlooked by the numerous relics and can be admired in the lovingly designed Mining Museum. Keno used to have several hundred residents, today there are around 30, mostly artists and miners.

We didn't see a single resident during our visit there, apart from the friendly woman in the mining museum.

As is often the case with towns in the Yukon, which are rarely more than 130 years old, the people were once again creative in choosing the name. Keno is a game of chance that was popular during the town's heyday....

Keno also has a small library in a former church.
