Obernberger See is a mountain lake in the Stubai Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It lies at 1590 m above sea level. A. in a basin between the Tribulaun massif and the Allerleigrubenspitze south of Obernberg am Brenner near the main Alpine ridge and the border with South Tyrol.

Hiking

One of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Tyrol is probably the Obernberger See in the valley of the same name. An idyll like no other. The Gasthof am See has been abandoned at the beginning of the lake for a good 10 years and is still quietly decaying. On nice days this inn was literally overrun by hikers.
