The Mont Fallère Refuge is located in the valley between Mont Fallère, from which the refuge takes its name, and Monte Rosso di Vertosan, in Loc. Les Crottes at 2,385 m. in the municipality of Saint-Pierre.
The Refuge is a true open-air museum; the owner Siro Viérin has not only dedicated himself to the construction of his refuge, but has created a true museum, a refuge “according to the rules of art” one might say. Along the path, which reaches the refuge from Vetan, a museum has come to life that currently has around 400 sculptures of small and large dimensions scattered along the last three km of the path, in well-studied points, to enrich the beauty of the landscape.
From afar, depending on the light that hits them, sometimes the eye is deceived and one wonders what is real and what is not.
