Hawk FlaRak system - The Ebersdorf FlaRak position was located around 2 km south of the town that gave it its name. It was built on the Stallberg, which reaches a height of around 30 m. The 1st battery of the 36th Air Defense Missile Battalion moved into the operational position in 1969. For more than two decades, the Ebersdorf position was used as part of NATO air defense. The four batteries of the 36th FlaRakBtl were alternately in different readiness statuses. The Ebersdorf position was closed on March 28, 2002.
