    Hiking

Tay Bridge, also known as General Wade's Bridge, was one of roughly 40 bridges built by General George Wade as part of a vast road-building scheme in the Highlands after the 1715 Jacobite uprising. The five-arched bridge is built of stone and has four distinctive turrets.
Take care. There's no footway over the bridge and drivers cannot see over the bridge hump. There are 'refuges' on the bridge.
