    Auditorium, Grafenegg Castle
Since its inauguration with Schubert's "Unfinished" in 2008, the auditorium has contributed to the special atmosphere in Grafenegg. Located between the classicist riding school, which will also house the Rudolf Buchbinder Hall in the future, and the tavern, it blends into the historical backdrop and enriches the entire area.
The magnificent sound space, which is characterized by excellent acoustics, offers space for 1,300 visitors, making it an ideal concert venue all year round.

The auditorium at Grafenegg Castle opened in 2008 and, with its modern, copper-clad architecture, forms a striking contrast to the historic castle grounds. Designed by the architectural team of Schröder Schulte-Ladbeck & Irresberger, the building's clear formal language and aging copper façade blend harmoniously into the castle park. Inside, the concert hall seats approximately 1,300 people and impresses with its excellent acoustics, developed in collaboration with acoustic expert Karlheinz Müller. Light materials such as oak and ivory-colored lime plaster create a warm atmosphere and optimal sound quality.

The stage can be configured flexibly, allowing the auditorium to be used for classical concerts as well as for conferences, presentations, and banquets. The building is complemented by ancillary rooms for artists and organizers, as well as direct access to the park, which serves as an extended foyer. Today, the auditorium is a central venue for the Grafenegg Festival and is available for cultural events year-round.
