Woodman Point Jetty, also known locally as the Ammo Jetty for its history as the old ammunition jetty dating back to the early 1900s, extends about 100 metres out from the shore. Underneath the jetty, there is a sheltered stretch of reef and a seagrass meadow that provides habitat for a variety of fish and other marine life, making it a popular snorkelling and scuba diving spot. It’s also a great place to walk to the end and take in the views across the Cockburn Sound, especially if you’re here at sunset.
