The settlement was located on the old E50 road from Přimda (translator's note: Pfraumberg) to Rozvadov (translator's note: Roßhaupt) about 300 meters west of the dam of the Václavský pond. It was first mentioned in the land registers in 1726 under the name Vysoká pec. Since 1725, iron ore from the nearby mines in Zirkwald (near Rozvadov) had been processed on the site of the future settlement. In 1838, 2 blast furnaces, 7 bar hammers, 2 iron rod hammers and 1 sheet hammer and a plant for tinning sheet metal were in operation in Frauentál. The ironworks employed more than 70 people. The ironworks stopped operating in 1872 when cheaper English goods were already being imported into the country. In Frauentál, glass production then began. The mirror glass was manufactured here until 1925.
In 1929, Frauentál is mentioned in the topography of Chytil only as a group of huts. After World War II, Frauentál, like many other settlements and communities, remained uninhabited after the resettlement of the German population and disappeared.
