This large city park has lots of explore and is a great place to relax and play. It has two wooded areas, most notably Hinde Common Wood, an ancient woodland which was first mentioned in documents dating back to 1637. The 36-acre park was a gift from the Sheffield industrialist Mark Firth and was opened on August 16,1875, by Albert Edward, the then Prince of Wales, and Princess Alexander.
