In 1622, the owner of Sterdyń became Jakub Iwanowski, Rogala coat of arms (died April 16, 1630), cup-bearer of Podlasie (1626-1630), married to Anna Kiszczanka (died 1626), daughter of Mikołaj Kiszka (ca. 1565-1620), starosta of Drohicz (1588-1620). In turn, their daughter Barbara, by marrying Zbigniew of Tęczyn, count Ossoliński, Topór coat of arms (died July 25, 1679), starosta of Drohicz (1646-1679), brought the Sterdyń estates into the ownership of the Ossoliński family. In the years 1737 and 1765, Sterdyń was mentioned as a town.
