The Lörmecke Tower is located at 581 m above sea level at the highest point in the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park and is the landmark of the Sauerland Forest Route. It owes its name to the Lörmecke stream, which rises here on the Plackweghöhe ridge.

The delicate tower, made of crisscrossed round timbers, is unique. From three viewing platforms, you can enjoy a fantastic 360° panoramic view of the Hochsauerland region, the Haarstrang mountain range, and the Westphalian Bay all the way to the Teutoburg Forest.

Inside the tower, a steel spiral staircase with 204 steps leads over two intermediate landings up to the viewing platform.

Once at the top, you will find several information panels on the railing with descriptions and distances to the prominent landmarks in the area.
