The lookout tower on the Hooge Heide, part of the Bergerbos forest (which is the northernmost part of the Maasduinen), is a popular destination.

The paths through the heathland that lead you there are beautiful, especially in August. The tower stands on a 34-meter-high dune, and with the extra meters of the tower itself, you naturally have beautiful views of the Maasduinen itself and the nearby Reichswald forest. Of course, the trees are also growing in the distance, so much of what you could once see is no longer visible, as a local recounted. But that doesn't detract from the beauty of the place.

Many visitors also try to sit on the bench with the wise saying. A bench that rotates 360 degrees.
