The water mills of the village have disappeared, the other windmills were shut down or rebuilt. All that remains is the Defrenne mill, a circular windmill and a tallow of whitewashed bricks dating back to 1830, still in the hands of the Defrenne family.
This windmill, declared a National Monument on October 17, 1962 and restored in 1990 thanks to a very large public contribution, has retained its original character.
