These people were agriculturalists, cultivating crops like corn, beans, and squash. The park has several short trails that take you through and around these historic sites, offering you a chance to explore the landscape that was once a thriving community. Interpretive signs along the trails provide insights into the history and significance of the mounds and the people who built them.
