The Heusee is located in the Flumserberge ski area at 1,620 meters above sea level. It is fed by the Talbach, which then flows into the Grosssee. There used to be a hotel on the Heusee. However, this was torn down by an avalanche at the end of the 1990s and then rebuilt next door on the Grosssee.
The idyllic lake invites you to take a cool dip in the water in summer. There are barbecue areas around the three lakes, which are popular after hiking and walks.
From the Tannenbodenalp mountain station (Flumserberg) you can reach the Heusee in just under an hour and a half of hiking time.
