This is the starting point for the Birkenau B1 MTB circuit. If you are arriving by car, there are plenty of parking spaces nearby. The circuit is 22 km long and involves a 680-meter elevation gain. The route is less suitable for inexperienced MTB riders. It is technically demanding in places and requires a certain level of fitness.

The route mainly runs along natural and gravel paths. It also offers several forest trails. The route also runs along several meadow trails, which are only really fun to ride on when the meadows have been mown. The circuit is not suitable for families due to its slightly higher level of difficulty.

Parts of the circuit run along the Gorxheimertal Go1 and Weinheim Wh1 MTB circuits. If you want to ride a few more trails, you can let off steam on the Buchklingen Trail, which is located along the route. Refreshing cold drinks can be enjoyed at the end in the Bistro Toscana in Birkenau.
