St. Ulrich Church (Eresing)

This church (St. Ulrich parish church) is a jewel of Bavarian Rococo. The originally late Gothic church complex was transformed into a beautiful sacred space by Dominikus Zimmermann (builder of the Wieskirche) from 1756 onwards. Dominikus Zimmermann lived in Eresing for around 21 weeks for this. The ceiling painting by Martin Kuen dramatically shows the Hungarian Battle of Lechfeld in 955. from Liegl/Schönmann: "Art Journey through Bavaria"

Wonderful church that is newly renovated inside and out - a visit is highly recommended.
