Another magical place for Franconian wine - terroir f was created at Thüngersheimer Johannisberg. Most likely unique in the world. Because who knows the goddess Ariadne as the world's first wine queen? She is better known to everyone for her famous thread that led Theseus out of the labyrinth. Who knows how the story continued after Theseus left them? She was found by Dionysus, the god of wine, who married her as a king's daughter and brought her back from the underworld as a goddess. With joy he threw her tiara into the sky, in flight the gemstones turned into stars where it appears to us as the constellation “Corona Borealis” equal to “Northern Crown”.
But the story continues. Both Ariadne and Dionysus had a son, Oenopion - the first winemaker in Greek mythology...
All this and much more about the world of the gods, depicted in two bronze sculptures by Andreas Krämer, is told in a beautiful and spiritual place in Thüngersheimer Johannisberg. (Info brochure terroir for Thüngersheim)

A truly beautifully landscaped space. There are plenty of places to sit. Lovely loungers with a stunning panoramic view. Two very beautiful sculptures. Simply a magical place. A great spot for a pleasant break.
