There is an educational trail about the local flora and fauna of the wetlands at Singing Sands Beach and the wetlands. You can see carnivorous plants, swamps, dunes and lots of water snakes. The water on the beach is only about knee-deep for several hundred metres. You can practically walk in the lake.
