Since 1957, Seefestspiele Mörbisch has been one of Austria's most famous open-air cultural events, offering spectacular musical and operetta productions on the world's largest lake stage against the backdrop of Lake Neusiedl. Although Mörbisch is located on the west bank, the festivals are ideally accessible from locations in Seewinkel, such as Illmitz or Podersdorf, as traditional event ship shuttles transport visitors relaxed across the lake directly to the performance. Due to its proximity to the Neusiedler See – Seewinkel National Park, the cultural evening can be perfectly combined with nature experiences in the World Heritage area.
