Breathtaking views of the strange rocky landscape at the foot of the Teide - a must for all Tenerife visitors.

A very popular hiking destination in Tenerife. It is located about 5 km south of the Teide at an altitude of about 2,200 m at the edge of the caldera Las Cañadas. It is a strange and fascinating landscape of bizarre beauty. The light rain and fog at the beginning of our hike have intensified the unreality of the landscape.

A rock formation called "The Finger of God". It is also a landmark of Tenerife.

A breathtaking nature! We went clockwise. Then the ascent path is longer, but gentler, which proved to be pleasant in the sun and the temperatures, since the way back was in the shadow of the rocks.

We walked left and had plenty of sun! I was glad that I had the mountain boots ... the tour is easy, but you should not underestimate it. Because of the many photo stops we took much longer! Take enough water !!!

You should definitely make the short hike.
Around each corner new views and motifs emerge.
One then passes by the so-called cathedral.

Circuit in the Teide crater about 1 hour is recommended to go around to the right.

The Roques de García are a rock formation below the volcano Teide. The most well-known of the bizarrely shaped towers made of volcanic rock is the Roque Cinchado, also called the Stone Tree or Finger of God, and is considered the landmark of the island.

It is very nice if you are there shortly before sunrise. However, you should not forget the flashlight / headlamp.
