A very popular hiking destination in Tenerife. It is located about 5 km south of the Teide at an altitude of about 2,200 m at the edge of the caldera Las Cañadas. It is a strange and fascinating landscape of bizarre beauty. The light rain and fog at the beginning of our hike have intensified the unreality of the landscape.

The Roques de García are a rock formation below the volcano Teide. The most well-known of the bizarrely shaped towers made of volcanic rock is the Roque Cinchado, also called the Stone Tree or Finger of God, and is considered the landmark of the island.
