A very popular hiking destination on Tenerife. It is about five kilometers south of Mount Teide at an altitude of about 2,200 meters on the edge of the Caldera Las Cañadas. It is a strange and fascinating landscape of bizarre beauty. The light rain and fog at the beginning of our hike only added to the unreality of the landscape.
