The Steiner Alps or Kamnik Alps are a mountain range in the Southern Limestone Alps. They lie south of the Karawanks between the Sava and Savinja rivers. They are named after the town of Kamnik (Stein in Oberkrain), which lies in the valley of the Kamniška Bistrica (Feistritz).
