A memorial stone and a billboard commemorate an earlier attraction in Nemerow wood since spring 2014: a hill, which at that time was forest-free, was baptized in honor of Alexander Humboldt's "Chimborazo". The very active naturalists and scholars from Neubrandenburg and the surrounding area had many connections to the world-famous explorer.
The memorial place is located on the Tollense-Rundweg between Klein Nemerow and Neubrandenburg.
