The Märzenbechertal is located southwest of the district Landgrafroda in the Ziegelrodaer Forest. Lupesich is a notched valley whose slopes are overgrown with beeches and oaks. Here the so-called spring knot flower (Leucojum vernum), also called Märzenbecher, has spread widely and is a unique sight when it blooms between the end of February and the beginning of April. Every year a carpet of millions of white flowers of this protected plant attracts numerous visitors from near and far to the Märzenbechertal, which has been designated as a large natural monument since 1989 - a must for every nature lover!
