The trails in Cayo Costa State Park are open to mountain bikers, hikers, and trail runners. The paths are primarily packed sand with some dirt and rock areas. A lot of the trails lead to sandy beaches while offering shady options in the trees. There are not a lot of hills, but the uneven sandy terrain makes up for the lack of elevation.
