The name may seem daunting at first, but this wonderful green space was actually once a huge oil warehouse. Today it is a wildly romantic, incredibly varied (at least for North German standards) natural landscape. I go there again and again, with my grown-up children, with my granddaughters and with my wife. Worth a visit at any time of the year.
