    Hiking

Lake Nokomis is the largest lake in the Tomahawk area, covering 2,433 acres. It was man-made by a dam on the Tomahawk River built in 1912. Anglers can fish for bluegill, largemouth and smallmouth bass, musky, northern pike, and walleye. Hikers can see it in all its glory from the Bearskin State Trail. Bird watchers can have the opportunity to spot bald eagles.
