    Visiting the waterfalls is an absolute highlight in Mauritius, but a challenge in the rainy season! Mosquitoes and extremely muddy paths. But you are rewarded with breathtaking nature, refreshing waterfalls and magnificent views. Some of the waterfalls can also be visited individually. To do all of them takes time and surefootedness. If necessary, it is advisable to take a local guide.

      We visited the first five waterfalls from top to bottom with a guide, we could swim along the way and the guide had snacks. Best to do with a guide since the path is not marked. The last part to the starting point where the car is waiting for you is still a tough climb back.
